# Kling: Generate Image

Generate images, combine image references, complete a subject, or extend an image beyond its original edges.

Find this node under **Kling** in the action picker. It uses a [Kling connection](/integrations/connection-providers/media/kling.md).

## Set up the node

1. Add **Kling: Generate Image** to your workflow.
2. Select your Kling connection.
3. Choose **Model / Action**. The configuration form changes to match your choice.
4. Fill the required fields, using values from earlier steps where needed.
5. Save your changes and run the step. Review its result in **Build** or **History**.

## Parameters and inputs

The fields depend on the selected action. Use the labels, required markers, and available choices shown in your form.

| Input                    | What to provide                                                                                  |
| ------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Model / Action           | Choose image generation, Image Omni, subject completion, outpainting, or multi-image generation. |
| Prompt and source images | Describe the output and provide the reference images required by the selected action.            |
| Image model and settings | Choose a model and fill only the image controls offered for it.                                  |

## Outputs

A task identifier and status; the matching task query returns finished images.

Models differ in supported reference counts and settings. Follow the selected form and check task completion before using the images.

## Example

Choose **Outpainting — Create Task**, supply an image, and configure the expanded composition. Use the matching outpainting query in **Get and List Tasks** to retrieve the result.

Availability of individual models and resources depends on your provider account. A successful connection does not grant access to every action.
