This page explains how to enable file generation capabilities and create downloadable content from any agent in your workspace.

How to enable File System?

Here are the steps to enable File System functionality to any agent in your workspace.

1. Navigate to the Agents tab on the side bar and choose the agent you want to enhance with file generation capabilities.

2. Click Edit Agent to access the agent's configuration settings.

3. Locate the File System toggle in the agent interface under Memory.

4. Enable the toggle and click Save to activate automatic file generation for this agent.

5. Once enabled, your agent can create downloadable files for any content it generates.

How to use File System?

Here are some guidelines to make File System as useful as possible for your needs.

1. Request any type of document or structured information from your agent. The system supports a wide range of content types and automatically formats them into downloadable files.

2. The agent can generate various text-based file formats depending on your needs:

   • Plain Text (.txt) - Simple, unformatted text files

   • Markdown (.md) - Formatted text with styling markup

   • CSV (.csv) - Comma-separated values for data export

   • JSON (.json) - Structured data format

   • Other formats based on content requirements

3. For the agent to utilise File System, append the prompt "Provide me with a document." after your query.

4. Example content requests:

   • "Generate a price list for our products. Provide me with a document."

   • "Create a project report with current status. Provide me with a document."

   • "Export customer data as a formatted list. Provide me with a document."

   • "Prepare a marketing proposal. Provide me with a document."

5. Once the agent completes your request, it will automatically create a properly formatted file.

6. Click on the file to preview it.

7. Click the download button on the top right corner of the preview to save the file directly to your device, no manual copying and pasting required.
