Our Task Management feature transforms how AI agents handle complex, multi-step projects by automatically breaking them down into organised, sequential tasks. This systematic approach improves accuracy, speeds up completion, and provides clear progress visibility.

This page explains how to enable and use the Task Management feature to enhance any agent's project execution capabilities.

How to enable Task Management?

Here are the steps to enable Task Management for any agent in your workspace:

1. Navigate to the Agents tab on the side bar and choose the agent you want to enhance with Task Management capabilities.

2. Click Edit Agent to access the agent's configuration settings.

3. Locate the Task Management toggle in the agent interface under Skills.

4. Enable the toggle and click Save to activate intelligent task breakdown for this agent.

5. Once enabled, your agent will automatically organise complex requests into structured task lists with real-time progress tracking.

How to use Task Management?

Here are some guidelines to make Task Management as useful as possible for your needs:

1. Describe your complex project or multi-step objective in natural language. The agent will automatically identify individual components and organise them into a logical sequence.

2. For the agent to utilise Task Management, append the prompt "Separate the work into tasks and automatically update their statuses." after your query.

3. Example project descriptions:

   • "Create a complete marketing campaign for our new product launch. Separate the work into tasks and automatically update their statuses."

   • "Research competitors, analyse their strategies, and prepare a comprehensive report. Separate the work into tasks and automatically update their statuses."

   • "Design a website, write content, and set up social media integration. Separate the work into tasks and automatically update their statuses."

4. The AI agent will process your request and create:

   • Individual task items with clear descriptions

   • Logical sequencing based on dependencies

   • Priority assignments for optimal workflow

5. You will then be able to monitor the progress of the tasks through three status levels:

   • Pending - Tasks queued for execution

   • In Progress - Tasks currently being worked on

   • Completed - Successfully finished tasks

6. The status updates automatically as the agent progresses through your project, providing real-time visibility into completion status.
